Un Cafesito was born from heritage, hardship, and hope.

My name is Carlos Vásquez, and I am a proud 100% Salvadoran-American. My parents immigrated to the United States during El Salvador’s civil war in the 1980s, leaving behind their homes, their families, and everything they knew in search of safety and opportunity. Like many Salvadoran immigrants, they worked hard, built a life from the ground up, and never forgot where they came from.

Growing up, our home was filled with the smell of fresh coffee, el aroma de la tierra and the stories of our people. Coffee was more than a drink; it was a connection to our roots, our resilience, and our culture.

Years later, I realized the power behind a single cup of Salvadoran coffee: not just its flavor, but its potential to give back.

That’s why I founded Un Cafesito to bring the bold, rich taste of Salvadoran coffee to the world, while directly supporting the same communities my family once called home. Our beans are handpicked from high volcanic regions in El Salvador, roasted with care, and delivered straight to your door through our monthly subscription service.

But this isn’t just about coffee. It’s about honoring our heritage and changing lives.

We proudly donate 15% of all proceeds to families in need in El Salvador, providing food, supplies, and support for hard-working communities often forgotten.
